El asteroide 2005YU55, pasará el próximo 8 de noviembre "muy cerca" de la Tierra, a 324.600 km (más cerca que la órbita lunar); es su aproximación más cercana de los últimos 200 años.
Este asteroide mide 400 metros de diámetro. Los aficionados que queramos echarle un vistazo, necesitaremos un telescopio de, al menos, 15 cm. La última vez que un objeto estelar de ese tamaño pasó tan cerca de nosotros, fue en 1976, y la próxima será en 2028. Desde el Deep Space Network de Goldstone, California, realizarán un exaustivo seguimiento del visitante espacial desde el 4 al 10 de noviembre.
